Pesaro and music: from Rossini Theatre to rock concerts

Pesaro is particularly intriguing to music lovers as it is the birthplace of composer Gioacchino Rossini. Famous is Rossini Theatre, which is a 10-minute walk from Hotel Delle Nazioni, and the ROF (Rossini Opera Festival), which entertains citizens and fans from all over the world every summer.

Casa Rossini, the birthplace of the great composer, is located on one of the main streets leading to the town square, and during the Rossini season, you can enjoy concerts from the balcony. The stars of the show are the singers of the Accademia Rossiniana, who perform live concerts lasting 20 minutes. You can also watch a live stream on the ROF website.

Since 2017, Pesaro has been a UNESCO City of Music. And not only classical music. In recent decades, an independent scene of talented musicians with international appeal has joined the rich musical offerings. There is a real genuine indie movement within the local community, drawing an astute and enthusiastic younger crowd to the region.
